Oil & Gas industry has various applications for Fiberoptic Sensing providing innovative systems in the field of well integrity monitoring by analyzing its temperature, flow profiling from distributed temperature sensing in the field of shale oil exploitation and leak detection within the pipeline grid. Especially for the latter Brillouin Sensing is an enabling technology due to its long length of measurement.
